The origins of Bellydance reach back to the begining of time as the natural and perfect movements to prepare the female for childbirth. As such Bellydance continues today to be an excellant pre-natal exercise program that will prepare the body for childbirth while keeping you fit and healthy.

Pre-Natal Bellydance- Pregnant women in ancient cultures have used Bellydancing as a way of preparing for a healthy birth. Modern day doctors agree that the actions of certain Bellydance moves mirror perfectly the actions women utilize to give birth. Historically, Bellydancing was only performed in groups of women. Among Bedouin Arabs, girls are taught a pelvic dance to prepare for the physical marathon of childbirth.
Yoga- Bellydance and Yoga go great together. Jennifer Nahas also teaches Vinyasa Yoga and Pre-Natal Yoga. Jennifer can also teach classes that are a balance between Yoga and Bellydance. |
